FIRE DEPARTMENT
Dedicated to serving YOU our Community
The Village of Angel Fire Fire Department consists of both paid and volunteer staffing. There are currently seven paid employees of the Village and 20 volunteers. Our goal is: " To provide a professional, courteous service to the community of Angel Fire and surrounding area through fire prevention, education, prompt quality emergency medical services, and the conservation of life and property in safest manner possible."
The EMS service level is Advanced Life Support with three fully equipped ambulances. We have two paramedics, three EMT-Intermediates and eight EMT-Basics. The Fire Department ISO rating is seven, with four fire attack vehicles, a rescue truck, a ladder truck and a water tender. Our ISO is being worked on to better improve YOUR insurance rates.
We have two fire stations, one is located at North Angel Fire Road and Mountain View Blvd. in the Village core area and the second is located on the corner of Mountain View Blvd. and El Vado Way in the southern area of the Village.
We have a Junior Firefighter Program for youth age 12-17. This is an excellent opportunity for training and experience, and a great way for youth to help the Village.
The Angel Fire Fire Department also has a volunteer Support Staff who is headed up by our Fire Chaplin. The Support Staff is available to anyone who is having an emergency and is dispatched on all fire calls and any lengthy rescues. Our Support Staff also has their own "Support" vehicle, which brings the Fire Department much-needed snacks and beverages hot or cold.
